Specialist Study

For my montage i will be creating a music video montage, it will consist of disturbing videos and elderly people, I will be creating my associative montage, by finding clips via YouTube and other platforms, however I will also be using my own footage from my camera. My main purpose of this associative montage is to make my audience think what my montage could be about and what emotion I am trying to show and create. 

In today's session, we learnt how a hand-painted film was created, I learnt that this is done by adding ink, and patterns on an 8mm film strip, each square would be 1 frame and also that 1meter of film strip is about 3seconds of video, it also is 18 frames per second. After we completed our 3-second clip, we presented it on the projector and we could see very detailed work, this was done by using unique colours and patterns. This work was a good way to show to people a different type of emotion. Moreover, I wouldn't consider using this technique of film again due to its time frame and lack of equipment.

How relevant are magazines in today's age? Magazines are something that people in the world read every day.   Magazines are  issued periodically, usually  in a paper cover, and typically contains essays, stories, poems, etc., by many writers, and often photographs and drawings, frequently specializing in a particular subject or area, as hobbies, news, music, or sports. Magazines are issued at regular intervals either weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly. There are different forms of magazines, the paperback is a term now used to refer to a type of book rather than a magazine.
