Hand Painted Film

In today's session, we learnt how a hand-painted film was created, I learnt that this is done by adding ink, and patterns on an 8mm film strip, each square would be 1 frame and also that 1meter of film strip is about 3seconds of video, it also is 18 frames per second. After we completed our 3-second clip, we presented it on the projector and we could see very detailed work, this was done by using unique colours and patterns. This work was a good way to show to people a different type of emotion. Moreover, I wouldn't consider using this technique of film again due to its time frame and lack of equipment.

Rationale

When I first started with this qualification in year 12, I have learnt a lot of skills and knowledge, these skills would be skills that I already knew from before and which I improved on or these skills were new skills I have learnt throughout my course, new skills that I have learnt would be things such as using a DSLR camera, this was a new skill because previously I only had used a bridge camera. Also when filming I have become much more confident than before, the main piece of work that has given me the confidence in my filming skills and ability would be the music video I had created last year for my final major project. Moreover, I have gained a lot of experience from creating documentaries and also with print adverts ext, for example, I have learnt new types of documentaries and key types of photography.
