Case Study.

*Who made the product?
*Write a short synopsis of the product (what’s it about?) in no more than 50 words.
*Carry out a textual analysis of technical codes such as camera, editing, logo, typography, sound, mise en scene.
*How was it shaped by the truth?

RWD Magazine was made by the founding editor at this time was Matt Mason, the magazine became a well-known name in UK underground urban music circles in mid to late 2003. This coincided with the rise of a new urban music genre, which later became popularly referred to as grime.
RWD Magazine is a British based magazine that features music, style, sport, gaming, film, technology, news, interviews, and charts on hip hop, grime, dubstep, R&B, UK garage, drum and bass, and U.S. house music.

RWD Magazine technical codes are very simple, the camera and editing they have used on the magazine is fairly simple and effective on the reader, the composition of the magazine is very well put, for example, the website has a navigation bar which is very simple and basic and this helps the audience navigate around the website easily. The website has many options for the audience to interact with the writer and publishers, these being social media platforms and real-life events, for example, RWD magazine launched a football show known as FilthyFellas on YouTube on 12 September ahead of the 2014–15 Premier League season. The show released a new episode every Monday at 7pm following the matches of the weekend and is known for its amusing and mocking element of banter that it contains. Their Youtube Videos have very simple editing techniques which just consists of cuts between people talking. The composition on the videos is very well laid out, for example as seen on the image, the camera angle they used is a wide-angle, the reason for this is to show the audience the two subjects and make them the point of focus, this camera angle is very effective while shooting podcasts like this because it draws a lot of attention of the audience and it keeps them engaged with the video. RWD encompasses the underground raves, the late-night pirate radio broadcasts, and the musical, visual and sartorial predilections of the grime, bashment, drum and bass and UK garage scenes. In short, it is the word on the street, or "on-road", to use the modern parlance. Vibe is an American music and entertainment magazine founded by producer Quincy Jones. The publication predominantly features R&B and hip hop music artists, actors and other entertainers. However in 2009 Vibe magazine was shut down, Vibe was purchased by the private equity investment fund InterMedia Partners and is now issued bi-monthly with double covers, with a larger online presence. The magazine's target audience is mainly for young, urban followers of hip hop culture. Moreover, Vibe magazine stopped producing print magazines and has now moved to online only.

Vibe magazine and RWD magazine are fairly similar because they are both magazines for music and entertainment, however, Vibe has a target audience of more older people, however, RWD has a more niche target audience which it being young teenagers. The typography used in Vibe is very professional and appealing to its target audience,
